SGA Network Meeting 2012
26th - 29th Nov 2012, Stellenbosch, South Africa
Organised by the SGAN Secretariat in partnership with CSIR (The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research) over 80 ecosystem assessment practitioners from across the globe met to discuss the progress of the SGAN in 2012, recent advances in the field of ecosystem assessments, and to outline a vision for the network in 2013.
The meeting's objectives were:
- To bring together members of the Sub-Global Assessment Network to share experiences from the past 12 months.
- To showcase progress and achievements of the network and its members throughout 2012, and outline a vision for 2013.
- To continue to share information, lessons and experiences of undertaking ecosystem assessments.
- To highlight emerging tools, concepts and issues in the evolving field of ecosystem assessment.
